Responsibility of parents.
Parents and guardians are requested to drop the children at the grounds 15 mins prior to the training sessions so that they can commence their training on time.
Parents will not be allowed on the field without permission.
Parental abuse towards either child or Mini Strikers staff will not be tolerated.
Children are to wear their full uniform provided to them. This includes their jersey, football shorts and socks. They will also be required to wear soccer boots at all times on the field.
Mini Strikers Pick Up and Drop Off Policy
Mini Strikers takes the safety and security of children in our care seriously. We ask that the following is done to ensure that the safety of children is upheld:
That upon dropping your child at the grounds:
The child is dropped off at the grounds no earlier than 30mins prior to the commencement of their scheduled game or training session;
The individual dropping off the child ensures that the Authorised Person of Mini Strikers is aware that the child has been dropped off at the grounds and provides pertinent information to the Mini Strikers staff person.
Children must be picked up by a suitable parent/guardian within 30mins of completion of the game or training session. They are to be collected from the designated area allocated by the Authorised Person of Mini Strikers so that staff can be made aware of their safe exit from the grounds.
Health & Medical Needs
If your child has a medical condition, it is an expectation that the parent/guardian is responsible for the administration of medicines and general support of their health. The Mini Strikers staff will only be responsible for assistance with medications in the case of an emergency. We ask parents and guardians to provide us with a letter from a medical or allied health professional detailing the child’s health needs and any assistance with medication if required.
Mini Strikers is an inclusive service, which caters for children from a range of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. If your child has any cultural requirements that we need to be aware of, please inform the Group Administrator, Jackie McClenaghan via phone or email. We will endeavour wherever possible to cater for their specific needs.
Sunsafety and Hydration
Mini Strikers takes the safety of children seriously. We follow Sunsafe policies as set down by the Cancer Council of Australia. Children are encouraged to bring their own drinks to keep hydrated and to drink regularly.
Sunscreen should be applied 20 mins before the game and reapplied every two hours.
Please ensure that children wear hats to limit exposure to the sun.
Parents and guardians are requested to phone the Group Administrator, Jackie McClenaghan on 0433 913 923 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the training sessions to advise of absenteeism of child.
Code of Conduct
Mini Strikers has zero tolerance of behaviours considered to bring the code of football into disrepute. Abuse and discriminatory behaviours will not be tolerated from players, parents, spectators and staff. Mini Strikers reserves the right to withdraw enrolments and ask individuals to leave the grounds that exhibit these behaviours. For further information in respect to this, please refer to the Mini Roos and FFA guidelines.
COVID Safe Return to Play Plan
In accordance with the Queensland Government’s COVID Safe policy, it is a requirement that all stakeholders attending our facilities follow our COVID Safe plan. Please see attached for further information.
Spectators are asked to watch children from designated areas such as the grandstand or clubhouse. This helps to prevent disruption of training and game play and also to promote safety of the children.
